This hotel features 863 guestrooms in a 45-story tower with views of Manhattan. Bright contemporary furnishings, modern lighting, and abstract art lend a boutique-style ambiance. The hotel offers twice-daily housekeeping and nightly turndown service with the Westin's signature all-white Heavenly Bed, which consists of a pillowtop mattress, triple sheeting, a down blanket, a comforter with a crisp-white duvet, and five goosedown pillows. Bathrooms have oversized combed-cotton towels and terry-cloth robes. Additional amenities include cordless phones and high-speed DSL Internet access (available for a fee). For dining, the Westin offers Shula's Steak House, one of the top five steak houses in America, while the adjacent E Walk houses B.B. King Blues Club, Chevy's Fresh Mex Restaurant, and many other grills and restaurants. For those on the run, there's gourmet coffee and pastries to go. While those ready to relax can enjoy the Bar 10 lounge for drinks, light fare, and sushi. Facilities include a fitness center, whirlpool, and gift shop. The hotel also offers a theater ticket desk, concierge, valet parking, and same-day laundry and dry cleaning. For getting around, the hotel is just blocks from Grand Central and Penn stations. Additionally, the property is eight miles from LaGuardia airport, 15 miles from John F. Kennedy airport, and 16 miles from Newark airport.
